About the Role

Amazon’s emerging-markets technology organization is hiring a software engineer with product ownership responsibilities. The team develops AI agents for operational teams serving Latin America and Australia. The listed workplace is São Paulo, Brazil.

What You Will Work On

• Study how operations teams work and identify tasks that AI agents can handle reliably.
• Take responsibility for problem definition, prototypes, delivery, and measurement.
• Connect language models to internal systems while balancing response time, operating cost, and correctness.
• Investigate production behavior and use operator feedback to improve evaluations and agent behavior.
• Set priorities, demonstrate progress, and document technical decisions.

Experience

Professional software development experience, system design skills, and proficiency in a programming language are required. Amazon also values experience across the software delivery lifecycle, a computer science degree or equivalent background, and knowledge of machine learning and language models.
