Product Engineer

About the Role

PostHog's Product Engineers own features end-to-end: from ideation and MVP testing, through user feedback iteration, to pricing decisions. You'll originate ideas based on intuition, user conversations, strategy, and goals.

What You'll Do

• Own features end-to-end including ideation, MVP testing, user feedback iteration, and pricing decisions
• Originate ideas based on intuition, user conversations, strategy and goals
• Implement basic UX using our design system — no pixel-perfect design handoffs here
• Engage with users regularly to gather and incorporate feedback
• Participate in weekly support hero rotations
• Write documentation for the features you build
• Participate in on-call rotation

What We Look For

• Proven "0 to 1" capability — you've shipped something from scratch
• Full-stack skills (Python/Django backend, React/TypeScript frontend)
• Strong product instincts and user empathy
• Comfortable with ambiguity and self-direction
• AI product experience is a plus

Compensation

• Base salary: $270,750 – $296,400+ (US SF benchmark $285,000)
• Location-adjusted compensation
• Significant equity package

Interview Process

Five-stage interview process includes a paid "SuperDay" project ($1,000 compensation) where you ship a real feature.
