Product Engineer - Feature Flags
About the Role
WorkOS Feature Flags is a newer product area providing APIs and UI that enable B2B developers to safely roll out, control, and experiment with features across environments, customers, and regions. This is a greenfield opportunity to build a feature flag system designed specifically for enterprise B2B use cases, where targeting by organization, plan tier, and region is first-class. You will help customers ship confidently, reduce risk, and accelerate their enterprise journey.
What You'll Do
- Design and build APIs and UI for feature flag management across environments, customers, and regions
- Build targeting and segmentation systems for organization-level and user-level flags
- Design rollout strategies (percentage-based, canary, ring deployments) for enterprise customers
- Build evaluation engines that handle high-throughput, low-latency flag checks
- Create intuitive dashboards for flag lifecycle management and experimentation
- Collaborate with a small, high-agency team to define and ship the product from early stages
What We Look For
- 5+ years of industry software development experience
- Experience with TypeScript, React, and Postgres
- Experience building or working extensively with feature flag platforms (LaunchDarkly, Split, Statsig, etc.)
- Understanding of progressive rollout patterns, A/B testing, and experimentation
- Comfort with performance-sensitive systems (flag evaluation at scale)
- Strong product sensibility and developer experience intuition
- Experience in B2B SaaS or developer tools is a plus
- Familiarity with SDK design and client-side/server-side evaluation patterns is a plus
