Senior / Staff Product Engineer, AI

About the Role

We're looking for a Product Engineer to develop AI-powered features integrated throughout Linear's platform. You'll create intelligent product capabilities that are performant and user-friendly, collaborating with product and design on prototyping intelligent systems.

What You'll Do

• Develop AI-powered features integrated throughout Linear's platform
• Create intelligent product capabilities that are performant and user-friendly
• Collaborate with product and design on prototyping intelligent systems
• Construct backend infrastructure for natural language interfaces, smart suggestions, and agentic workloads
• Refine model outputs and evaluate system performance
• Design the agent platform allowing third-party integration
• Build reliable, privacy-conscious AI infrastructure

What We Look For

• 5+ years building customer-facing products
• Experience with AI/ML systems, NLP, or agentic architectures
• Track record of shipping AI features that users love
• Strong product sensibility regarding UX, speed, and polish
• Self-directed, full-lifecycle builder
