About the Role

Build agentic systems that autonomously manage infrastructure challenges for Vercel's customers. You'll design systems that investigate, diagnose, and fix production issues — the kind of work that requires deep product thinking combined with AI engineering.

What You'll Do

• Build agentic systems that autonomously manage infrastructure challenges
• Design systems that investigate, diagnose, and fix production issues
• Architect multi-step agent workflows coordinating tools, APIs, and sandboxed code execution
• Build agent skills and tool integrations (deployments, logs, metrics, DNS)
• Ship user-facing experiences across Slack, dashboard, and CLI
• Develop infrastructure for dynamic skill injection
• Work on prompt engineering, model evaluation, and RAG pipelines

What We Look For

• 7+ years full-time software engineering
• Deep experience with TypeScript and agentic systems
• Familiarity with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and RAG architectures
• Experience building multi-step, tool-using agent workflows
• Strong systems design skills
• Product-minded engineering approach

Compensation

• Base salary: $232,000 – $348,000 (Staff level)
• Significant equity package

Work Style

On-site with anchor days (Monday, Tuesday, Friday) at San Francisco office.
